About the Journal

The Journal of Banking, Finance and Economic Development is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by North Press. It publishes research on banking, financial systems, monetary and financial economics, financial inclusion, and the relationship between financial-sector development and broader economic development.

The journal welcomes empirical, theoretical, comparative, and policy-oriented research relevant to banking, finance, regulation, investment, and development, particularly in emerging and developing economies while remaining open to internationally relevant evidence. The journal is published three times a year, in April, August, and November.
