Editor Guidelines

Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, independent, confidential, and academically rigorous editorial process.

Editors should:

• Evaluate submissions based on scholarly merit, originality, relevance, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and fit with the journal's scope.
• Conduct initial editorial screening before external peer review.
• Select reviewers with appropriate expertise and without relevant conflicts of interest.
• Protect the confidentiality of authors, reviewers, manuscripts, and editorial correspondence.
• Consider reviewer recommendations together with independent editorial judgment.
• Ensure that commercial considerations, publication charges, sponsorship, or institutional relationships do not influence editorial decisions.
• Manage conflicts of interest and recuse themselves where impartiality may reasonably be questioned.
• Investigate credible allegations of plagiarism, data fabrication, authorship misconduct, citation manipulation, or other ethical violations.
• Issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
• Ensure that editorial decisions and communications are recorded accurately in OJS.
• Not upload confidential submissions or reviewer materials to public or external generative-AI systems. Automated tools may support screening or editorial work only with appropriate human oversight and may not make final editorial decisions.
