Peer Review Process

The editorial board of the Sciences du Nord Humanities and Social Sciences The Journal has established the following policy review process:

  • All manuscripts submitted to this Journal must follow the focus, scope, and guidelines of the author of this Journal. The submitted manuscript must meet scientific or novelty values following this Journal's guide and degree.
  • All submitted manuscripts must be free of plagiarism content. All authors are advised to use plagiarism detection software to check for similarities (please use Turnitin or Plagiarism Detector to check for parallels). Editors will also check the similarity of manuscripts in this Journal using Turnitin or Plagiarism Detector software.
  • The review process used in this Journal is a double-blind review system. Manuscripts submitted to this Journal will be blindly reviewed by at least 1 (one) or more expert reviewers from the Reviewer's Acknowledgment. Reviewers provide valuable scientific comments to improve the content of the manuscript. Sometimes (if needed), a third peer-reviewer must critically comment on the submitted manuscript.
  • The Editor-in-Chief solely makes the final decision on the receipt of the manuscript (together with the Editorial Board if necessary for consideration) according to the Reviewer's critical comments. The final decision of the manuscript is solely based on the last review of the Editor and the Editorial Board, which considers the wording of the peer-reviewer (but not solely by the Reviewer).
  • The publication of accepted articles, including assigning papers to publications, will be carried out by the Editor-in-Chief, taking into account the order of date received, the geographical distribution of authors, and thematic publications.

Review Results

Editors will make the final publication decision using feedback from the peer review process. The review process will take about 1 to 2 weeks. The category of decisions includes:

Reject - The rejected manuscript will not be published, and the author will not have the opportunity to resubmit the revised version to the Sciences du Nord Humanities and Social Sciences Journal.

Reapply for Review - Submissions need to be reworked but are acceptable with significant changes. However, this will require a second round of review.

Accept with Revisions - Manuscripts that receive an accept-pending-revision decision will be published in the Sciences du Nord Humanities and Social Sciences Journal on condition that minor/considerable modifications are made. Editors will review revisions to ensure necessary updates are completed before publication.

Accept - The accepted manuscript will be published in its current form without further modification.

Authors need to ensure that their manuscripts are prepared in a way that does not give away their identity by separating the title page and the body of the manuscript.
